DEADLINE APPROACHING
Theory and Foundations of Modeling and Simulation, TMS'21

July 19-21, at George Mason University, Fairfax, VA (Hybrid event)
The purpose of the track on Theory and Foundations of Modeling and Simulation is to provide a forum to discuss most recent advancements in this field. The main focus is on theory of modeling, methodology, practice and software to cope with the challenges arising out of these, as well as lessons learned and challenges.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Theory: Advances in Modeling Formalisms, Formal analysis and symbolic reasoning, Model checking, Model Transformation, Behavior Abstraction and Model Reduction, Graph transformations, Model Abstraction and Machine Learning, Formalism-Based Model Debugging,
- Modular Approaches in M&S: , Model Composition, Co-simulation, Interoperability, Modular Modeling of Hybrid Systems, Modular Modeling of Spatially Distributed Systems, Modular Representation of Numerical Solvers
- Complex Systems M&S:, Multi-Paradigm/Multi-Domain Modeling, Multi-Resolution/Multiscale Modeling, Cyber-Physical Systems M&S, Ultra Large Scale Systems M&S, Systems of Systems M&S
- Technologies (related to theoretical/foundational methods): Parallel/distributed/cloud/edge simulation, Real-time and Interactive simulation, M&S of Embedded Systems,
- M&S Tools and Standards (related to theoretical/foundational methods): Simulation Languages/Libraries, Simulation Development/Visualization Tools, M&S Repositories/Data Formats
- Applications of theoretical/foundational methods
Original, high-quality technical papers are solicited for review, possible presentation and subsequent publication in the conference proceedings. All submissions will be peer reviewed. Authors of papers accepted are expected to attend the conference, present their work to their peers, transfer copyright, and pay a conference registration fee at the time their camera-ready paper is submitted. Papers registered and presented will be included in the conference proceedings, possibly archived in the ACM Digital Library, IEEExplore and indexed in DBLP, Web of Science and SCOPUS.
