This is a teaching stream tenure-track appointment for Common Engineering at the rank of Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, to commence July 1, 2023.
The common engineering curriculum comprises the required first-year and a series of upper-year courses taken by students across all Bachelor of Engineering (BEng.) programs. Currently, these consist of two introductory courses (ethics, communications and problem solving; engineering design principles), two second-year courses (engineering project management and economics; engineering communication), and two upper-year courses (professional engineering practice; capstone project).
The successful candidate will be expected to:
* teach undergraduate courses in the common engineering curriculum * provide creative educational leadership in curriculum redesign and pedagogical innovation * collaborate with supportive colleagues in team teaching * coordinate the integration of professional skills (e.g., communication, leadership, collaboration, project management) across the common engineering curriculum and project-based learning experiences
