CALL FOR POSTERS
----------------
The research poster session offers a chance to present early research
ideas, late-breaking results, and novel perspectives on Cluster, Cloud and
Internet computing at the CCGrid conference. We welcome submissions from
academia, industry and labs to submit posters on topics of interest similar
to those of the main conference tracks listed above.
The authors are invited to submit 2-page extended abstracts for the poster,
excluding references, using the IEEE 2-column format for conference
proceedings. The submissions will undergo a single-blinded review process.
The extended abstracts of the accepted posters will be published as a
companion proceeding (CCGRIDW) through the IEEE CS Conference Publication
Services and available online at IEEE Xplore digital library.
The conference will be held in person physically. At least one author of
each accepted paper must register and present a poster version of their
extended abstract in-person at the conference.
Best Poster Awards will be presented to the author(s) of top papers
selected by the Program Committee.

CALL FOR EARLY CAREER & STUDENT SHOWCASE POSTERS
------------------------------------------------
Early Career and Students' Showcase of CCGrid 2023 provides a forum for
students and early career researchers a chance to have discussions, solicit
feedback on their research, and gain mentorship on their careers from
experts attending the conference. We invite poster submissions to this
showcase on novel research ideas, work-in-progress, or a summary of the
dissertation work conducted in the broad areas of Cluster, Cloud and
Internet computing, on topics of interest aligned with the main conference
tracks listed above.
The first author of the submission must be a student enrolled in a doctoral
or Masters? degree program at an academic institution, a postdoctoral
researcher, or an early career researcher having a Masters' or Doctoral
degree within the last 5 years.
The student/early career
author each accepted paper must register and present a poster version of
their extended abstract in-person at the conference.
Limited travel grants will be available to students and early career
researchers.
Best Poster Awards will be presented to the author(s) of top papers
selected by the Program Committee.
*** MENTORSHIP ACTIVITIES ***
Student and early career authors will have the opportunity to have fruitful
interactions and networking with other researchers at a similar stage in
their careers. There will also be focussed mentoring sessions with experts
in the field to offer guidance on research problems and aspects of a
successful research career. Students will also have a chance to interact
with industry leaders and share their resumes with potential recruiters.

CALL FOR SCALE CHALLENGE SUBMISSIONS
------------------------------------
IEEE TCSC International Scalable Computing Challenge (SCALE 2023) is
sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee on Scalable
Computing (TCSC). The objective of the SCALE Challenge is to highlight and
showcase real-world problem-solving using computing that scales.
Participants in the challenge will be expected to identify significant
current real-world problems where scalable computing techniques can be
effectively used, and design, implement, evaluate and demonstrate
solutions. Problems that have a social impact are of particular interest.
Authors are invited to submit 6-page technical paper, excluding references,
describing the nature of the problem being solved, the solution technique,
and offer preliminary evidence of the scalability achieved.
The technical committee will shortlist finalists from these proposals, and
invite them to present their work and offer a live demonstration at the
CCGrid 2023 conference.
The conference will be held in person physically. One author of each
accepted paper must register for the conference and present their work and
demonstration at a special SCALE Challenge session. A panel of experts will
judge and select the IEEE TCSC SCALE Challenge winner.
The accepted papers will be published as a companion proceeding (CCGRIDW)
through the IEEE CS Conference Publication Services and available online at
IEEE Xplore digital library.
-----------------------------------
DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION (D&I) TRACK
-----------------------------------
CCGrid 2023 is placing an emphasis on diversity and inclusion in systems
research. The D&I track at CCGrid 2023 will feature eminent keynote
speakers and panel discussions by researchers and practitioners in cluster,
cloud and Internet computing from diverse backgrounds. We will also host
focused mentorship roundtables and networking sessions for students,
faculty members and researchers from traditionally under-represented groups
to provide them an opportunity to interact with leading experts from
academia and industry.
We will be soliciting applications to participate in the D&I track and
offer limited travel grants based on need and availability.

I'm looking for a postdoctoral researcher to work with me as part of the Melbourne ARC Hub for Digital Bioprocess Development. This 3-year position will examine how relatively sparse high-quality data can be supplemented with lower quality data to enable ‘multi-fidelity’ optimisation for improved decision support for bioprocesses. Deadline 14 Nov, full details here:
